But I maintain a fairly low-maintenance beauty routine, and that includes my hair. And since I’ve never dyed my hair, only get 2-3 haircuts a year, and as a shopping editor with access to hundreds of beauty products, I spend a fair amount of time on hair masks and conditioners. It’s no exaggeration to say that I tried it.

After years of testing, I finally have a curated list of my favorites that I buy over and over again. From in-shower hair masks and conditioners to leave-in products, keep scrolling. Go on and shop six of my all-time favorite hydrating products for long hair.
Best hair masks and conditioners for long hair
1. Crown Affair The Renewal Hydrating Hair Mask, $58

At nearly $60, Crown Affair’s The Renewal Hydrating Hair Mask is the most expensive product on this list, but it’s worth every penny. Packed with camellia seed oil and yuzu extract, this luxurious hair mask has a more liquid-like texture than most I’ve tried and coats every strand of hair with ease. You will have incredibly soft hair that smells incredible. (I also love branded leave-in conditioners!)
2. Leaves to detangle and de-frizz from Ouai in Conditioner, $28

If you already have a few of your favorite shower products, consider adding Ouai’s Detangling and Frizz Fighting Leave In Conditioner to your post-shower routine. Suitable for all hair types, the brand recommends spraying this product into your hair after you shower and before you comb your hair. Also works as a heat protectant up to 30 degrees.
3. De Monsoon Moisture Hydrating Conditioner, $26

I’m already getting poetic about dae’s styling creams, so it’s no surprise that I have one of the brand’s products on this list. Contains high-quality ingredients such as flower extract, moringa leaf extract, etc. This is definitely he one of my go-to conditioners for days when I don’t have time to mask, but still want silky strands.
4. Coco & Eve Like a Virgin Hair Mask $39.90

When I don’t have time to put on a hair mask and rinse it out completely, I use Coco & Eve’s Like A Virgin Hair Masque. This hair mask is great at fighting frizz and moisturizing locks, but I especially like it because it washes off faster than any other hair mask I’ve tried. If you want to give TLC, try this mask.
5. Drunk Elephant Cocomino Marula Cream Conditioner, $25

Drunk Elephant is one of my favorite skin care brands, so naturally I’ve tried the entire hair care line. The brand’s Cocomino Marula Cream Conditioner was formulated in collaboration with hair expert and celebrity stylist Chris McMillan to nourish hair and keep it shiny without weighing it down. It’s also free of silicones, sulfates, and essential her oils, so you don’t have to worry about stickiness.
6. Briogeo Don’t despair, fix it! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask, $39

Don’t despair of Briogeo, Repair! Deep conditioning hair masks are another favorite of him when his hair is rough. Clinically proven to strengthen hair and reduce breakage in just 2 uses. The brand recommends using this mask once a week until you see results, then switching to every other week.
