During a recent visit to Disneyland, I noticed a new fountain being installed at Disneyland Moat ahead of The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary celebrations.
A small green circular object can be seen rising from the water in the center of the image. This is his one of two new fountains installed for the upcoming celebration.
Beyond the outer rim with 12 nozzles is a ring of 6 additional nozzles oriented at slightly different angles. In the center of the ring is one large nozzle. This nozzle placement is to the right of the moat as you walk towards Sleeping Beauty Castle.
It’s unclear if any of the fountain’s nozzles move like they’re part of “World of Color,” or if they remain fixed and only adjust in height in response to changing pressure.
Another set of nozzles can be found in the water on the left side of the castle.
This October, Disney announced that in honor of its 100th anniversary, Sleeping Beauty’s Castle in Disneyland Park will be specially decorated to reflect the wonder theme of its 100th anniversary tagline. The castle is adorned with platinum banners and bunting and features cabochons depicting three good fairies. The castle is further illuminated with shimmering fairy dust. A star of hope shines from the top of the tower.
The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary celebrations begin January 27 at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. Guests will experience the grand opening of the new Mickey & Minnie Runaway Railway attraction, plus his two all-new nighttime spectacles of World of Color-One at Disney California Adventure Park and The Wondrous Journey at Disneyland Park. to commemorate this historic occasion. .
Disney recently announced that ‘Wanderlust Journey’ will be the new nighttime spectacle of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. The 13-minute show pays homage to all of Walt’s Disney Animation Studios films to date, taking guests on a journey full of artistry, music, and storytelling. See state-of-the-art projection effects on Main Street USA, Sleeping Beauty Castle, “It’s a Small World” façade, and the American River. On certain nights, fireworks are set off above Disneyland. Includes new song “It’s Wanderlus”.
Disney California Adventure’s World of Color – One tells a new story of how one action, like a drop of water, creates ripples that grow into waves of change. In addition, the original new song “Start a Wave” was also performed.
The celebration also includes special entertainment, food, drink, and merchandise offerings, making it an event not to be missed.
