Switching from a professional manicure to a DIY manicure can be very rewarding financially. We come to the same problem – elimination. Soaking cotton wool in acetone and trying to stick it to your finger with aluminum foil is cumbersome and impractical. I’m not good at it and they are constantly slipping. I get frustrated and just peel off the gel and it makes my natural nails look and feel horrible.
As a result, I started experimenting with classic nail polishes and discovered one ready to appoint the best ever. It’s a shimmery, non-gel polish that reflects light, looks great in low-light conditions, and is extremely long-lasting.

I started with Orly’s Bonder Rubberized Basecoat, which looked great on its own, followed by one thick shade of KBShimmer pink glitter polish and finished with Olive & June’s Super Glossy Top Coat.
The photo below was after 10 days of wear, and I didn’t push back the cuticle on purpose to hide the new growth. There were only a few small chips here and there. It was really amazing to me.

Left: All glowing under natural light. Right: All that glows under the flash.
One downside was that it looked drier and more matte than I expected. This mauve pink is my go-to shade for all makeup products, but it goes from opal to bright blue. There are 14 reflective glossy polish shades that range from 100% to 100%, in addition to a sheer topper that adds effect to the polish of your choice.
