Of course, all things considered, when we were struggling financially and battling illness, seeing expensive fashion was the least of many people’s worries. There was still a part of us who missed out on showing up on the red carpet and fashion shows and looking great while out and about.
Unfortunately, with so many events starting to open up after the pandemic this year, some stars have yet to hit their mark. At the Golden Globe Awards in January, almost every woman seemed to be allergic to necklaces, bracelets and even earrings. Sorry, but the problem is that celebrities are styled too plain, or horribly over-styled.
Creativity is lost in styling. Doja Cat, Lil Nas X and Lizzo are celebrities who have shown us that fashion and creativity go hand in hand. Annoying a lot of people on social media is how these celebrities spend millions of dollars on styling and plain off the runway without making the effort to try out unique and funky hairstyles, makeup and accessories. The fact is that all you have to do is choose a proper gown.
Although some may argue that modern simplicity It’s a measure of wealth, I think it’s simply boring. Anyone can wear a silk gown, but no one sits in his chair with 30,000 jewels stuck to his skin and he spends five hours styling it. That is the dedication we need to move forward.
