It’s been a year since Jennifer Sullivan disappeared.
Jennifer Sullivan’s mother, Valerie Booth, said: ‘How can you shut down when you don’t know where she is?
Booth was in tears Monday when he spoke in public for the first time at his home in Milford. She wonders where her daughter Jennifer is.
“We met her at Christmas, then January 8th was the last time I spoke to her,” Booth said.
Booth said her daughter was last seen in rehab for drug problems in New London. Milford police continue to investigate. They posted a message to her May on her Facebook page.
Friends and family also hired private investigators.
“Everything we’ve tried to do hasn’t worked out,” said close friend Melissa Charlett.
Charette said Sullivan disappeared 10 years ago, but reappeared two weeks later. She says she was always reachable by phone.
“So if you don’t call me anymore, where is she?
Friends and family don’t even know if Sullivan is still alive. That is their greatest fear. She has her two adult children.
They suspect an old boyfriend might have something to do with her disappearance.
“I feel it’s my responsibility to get answers for her children and their mother,” Charette said.
Sullivan participates in the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System. She has curly blonde hair and blue eyes and is about 5 feet tall. She is in her mid 40’s.
Family members say she has a blue Grateful Dead bear tattoo on her ankle and a fairy tattoo on her back.
“I don’t know what to do now. It’s been a year,” Charette said.
