Call them wrinkles, call them creases, or label them in a way that truly means they are labeled. A luscious layer of pure love.
No matter how you describe the cute wrinkles that give your Bulldog its incredible features, we know that these wrinkles are a major part of what makes a Bulldog so great.
And bring his wrinkled goodness to the dog-loving community? You can when the National Bulldog Beauty Contest returns to the red carpet at Rosie’s Dog Beach on Sunday, February 19th.
The Long Beach Bash is celebrating its 18th anniversary. This means that many puppies have entered countless human minds. One of those humans, Justin Rudd, created this event as a way to honor his bulldog Rosie and all the puppies, whether they’re bullish or not.
The Bulldog Beauty Contest has a number of categories such as Best Young Dog, Best Senior Dog, Best Small Dog, Best Large Dog, etc., created for Fidos who do not qualify as Bulldogs.
Oh yeah, there are two categories of bulldog enthusiasts looking to get into: English Bulldogs and French Bulldogs.
Even if the rumpled wonder wins top prize, you can expect a sun-filled day admiring memorable snapshots, hugs and the occasional costume (although this is a traditional costume). This is not an event where you wear a kimono.
It’s free to stop by to see the furry treats, but it’s $10 to enter your dog in advance (and it covers your dog into multiple categories).
The Autodog organization, led by Mr. Rudd, is the group behind the Halloween Parade and other large-scale puppy struts in Long Beach. Trot on this site pronto for more information.
