A gorgeous salon owned by the wonderful Tamara Lewis who has been pampering her clients in Fredericksburg for a whopping 7 years.Now she brings her styling expertise to Richmond for all hair and has a new location for her short pumps. I’m here. Fredericksburg knows Tamara is the owner of her top salon, and she’s thrilled to be a big success in Richmond. We got the chance to ask her a few questions about her shop and what they do.

Hi! Thank you very much for your time today. First, could you introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about what you do?
Tamara Lewis: Hello! I’m from Salon Voss, Inc. We are a hair salon that specializes in all kinds of hair care services including coloring, styling and microblading. This is his third location and he has been in Fredericksburg for over seven years.
How did you get into the self-care industry? Why do you think it’s important?
We started self-care because we want to help people feel better about themselves and how they look. is important. Confidence and doing your best can really lift your mood and make a difference in your daily life.
Can you tell us the background of Salon Voss and how you got into the self-care industry?
We’ve been in the self-care game for over seven years at our Fredericksburg location and recently opened our third location in Richmond. wanted to provide first-class service. We also have our own line of hair extensions and a microblading service for natural brows. Self-care is about making people feel good in their own skin, and at Salon Voss, it’s all about it.
cool. What made you and your team move to Richmond?
We have always been drawn to Richmond and its atmosphere. We knew it would be a perfect fit and would bring something special to the city. It felt like the right move for us.
What are some of the best services Salon Voss offers?
We offer cutting, coloring, balayage, extensions, and other services incorporating the latest technology and trends. We also have our own line of hair extensions including classic and seamless virgin tape-in extensions in a variety of colors including rooted and balayage looks. We also offer microblading, a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo that uses specialized tools and pigments to create natural-looking brows.
What can you do to keep your hair healthy and frizz-free as the cold weather sets in?
Dry and frizzy hair is common due to winter weather and dry forced air. This will keep your hair smooth and frizz-free for up to 12 weeks.Every person’s hair is unique, so we always take that into account when recommending treatments.

What’s the atmosphere like at Salonvos? Do you have a favorite playlist?
The trendy, modern salon has a 154-inch video wall that plays a variety of music videos of all genres. We welcome all and take pride in being a safe place for the LGBTQ+ community. No one will be judged or made to feel uncomfortable based on their orientation at Salon Voss.

I heard you have your own line of hair care products. Please tell me more about them. Also, why did you decide to create them?
Yes, we have our own brand called Tristan Taylor. We felt that our guests needed to have access to high quality, color safe products at an affordable price. We have shampoos and conditioners for different hair types, including a blonde shampoo to neutralize unwanted tones. We also have an excellent styling line, including our popular Dry Her Texture Spray.
Not my first salon. What’s the best advice for balancing work and home life?
We absolutely believe in balancing work and home. It can be tough, especially with long working hours and new store openings, but we try to make time for our family. We have a great team that makes it easy to sneak out on vacation or family date night. We are constantly adjusting and readjusting, sometimes unable to leave the salon until late at night and rarely seeing our families. We are very involved owners so it would not have been possible without our team. I remember that I couldn’t even go out.
Most people are loyal to their stylists. What makes Salon Voss so many salons to choose from?
Yes, there are many salons in the world. But we like to think we are better than others. We pride ourselves on providing our guests with a first-class experience. From the moment you walk in the front door and see the modern, clean furnishings and stations, to the friendly receptionists, we strive to make you feel comfortable and welcome. We provide in-depth consultation, excellent service and professional advice to ensure you leave feeling great about yourself and your hair. Our stylists are a team, so you can choose your favorite stylist with peace of mind, or you can consult with multiple stylists in the salon. One guest can be served by two of her stylists to further enhance the experience. Ultimately, we want our guests to feel they have received exceptional service and care before starting their day.
I have a friend looking for the best stylist for curly hair. Do you have any recommendations?
Absolutely. We have talented stylists who can handle any hairstyle. So straight, curly, wavy or textured hair are all great and I can’t recommend just one. To do. That way, you can meet with your stylist to discuss your hair goals in more detail. We work as a team here, so if one stylist decides another is a better fit for you, they’ll definitely let you know.
