Shiseido’s Asia Pacific Professional Hair business reports sales of approximately €100 million in 2020 and employs more than 500 people. It also has strong R&D capabilities.
Shiseido will retain a 20% share of its business in Japan to support growth, while Henkel will become a major player in the Asia-Pacific region.

New Henkel Consumer Brands business unit
Henkel’s Professional Hair Care business will be part of the company’s new multi-category platform, which will be launched in 2023, following the integration of the Home Care and Beauty Care business lines.

Henkel acquired three US companies in 2014 to strengthen its professional hair business.
