Alongside the new brand, three hair care products were launched, including shampoos, conditioners and hair masks.

This announcement utilizes Henkel’s new SalonLab smart analyzer technology.
Henkel launches SalonLab&Me. This is a new personalized hair care service to help consumers meet their individual needs.
At Salon Labo & Mellows’ exclusive salon online shop, we offer custom-made hair care products that match your hair type.
These are based on professional hair analysis using Henkel’s SalonLab Smart Analyzer technology.
Analyzers use near-infrared sensors to measure the quality of the condition of the hair inside, not just the appearance of the hair.
The German personal care giant said hairdressers could also use the brand to explore new business models for salons.
“SalonLab&Me is the logical next step following the success of our SalonLab Smart Analyzer.
“Based on the positive feedback we received from both hairdressers and end consumers, we quickly realized it was time to take personalized hair care to the next level.
“SalonLab&Me has allowed us to create not only a personalized hair care business, but a brand that is transforming an entire industry with its unique business model.”
Salon Lab & Me Shampoo, Spray or Cream Salon Lab & Me Conditioner, and Salon Lab & Me Hair Mask were launched with the new brand.
Friederike Murschenhofer, Corporate Director Digital Innovation, said:
“With SalonLab&Me, we enable salons and their clients to explore the best of both worlds, creating a unique blend of physical and digital experiences made possible through a new business model, B2B2C.”
The announcement comes after Henkel reported mixed results for the 2022 half year. This was impacted by a “significant” rise in input costs.
Operating income fell by 18.5% to 1.16 million euros in the period due to significantly higher prices for materials and logistics.
Cost control schemes and efficiency improvements implemented by the company have not been able to offset the increase in material costs.
Schwarzkopf’s owner said the group’s withdrawal from Russia and Belarus also had a small impact on half-year sales.
