My fellow protective style warriors know that keeping your mane in top shape while rocking a head-turning style for the holidays is paramount. Luckily, Shea Moisture became my go-to clutch, giving me the opportunity to do just that. hair rules A New York City salon that happens to be owned and operated by celebrity hairstylists and textured hair extraordinaires Anthony Dickie.
As soon as I stepped into the Hair Rules Salon, I felt at home. The bright and beautiful open space layout of the store with a modern chic touch of Anthony. Each styling chair sits in front of a floor-to-ceiling wood-paneled mirror. Drying chairs were placed in front of a wall, with a white blow dryer on top of each chair and stacks of magazines for light reading. The salon also has beautiful artwork, with one colorful focus image of a woman sitting under a blow dryer.

As I sat in my chair, Anthony came over and stroked my 4C mane. When discussing which hairstyle to choose, I braided ponytailAnthony shared that braided ponies are a popular choice, but confirms that they add a unique flair to mine, which is where Letty appeared.
wash process
Letty got to work right away and took me to the wash station to get my mane properly washed. Letty, of course, loves Shea Moisture’s Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Shampoo ($11.99, target.com) and Shea Moisture’s Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Conditioner ($11.99, target.com) Nourishes and resets hair. Next, Letty tried Hair Rules Nourishment Leave-In Moisturizer ($26, Hairrules.com) All over my damp curly strands, she blow-dried. I loved that Letty took the time to blow out the strands. The result is a seamless process with no breakage or discomfort.
Letty then applied Hairrule’s signature oil mixture to her hair and scalp before finally blow-drying it. I touched it.
“If you’re not protecting your hair properly, that’s work,” said Letty, and I agreed. To do. As a result, moisture goes far and you see growth over time.

knitting time
Once my mane was dry and thoroughly oiled, Letty began working her magic. This braided pony is inspired by Fulani braids and classic braided ponytails with added extensions. She started by parting my crown, focusing on the center of my head where most of the braids lay. I made a braid.
Next, Letty added hair to my ponytail and created a large braid that ended in the middle of my back. For the side braids, Letty added a medium-sized hollow wood by mixing her beads in her hair.
It was a wrap after setting with a dryer for 15 minutes. Letty not only surpassed herself, she provided multiple gems for my hair growth journey. I did.
From now on, it’s safe to say that Anthony and Letty have full access to my mane.
