I love furry animals. Seriously, what could be better than cuddling a puppy? Or earning the vibrational approval of a cat? I stroke his fur, caress his coat, and run my fingers through his hairy skin. Honestly, if I hadn’t been worried about rabies, I would have smeared Elmira on every raccoon, possum, and squirrel I met.
I love furry creatures, but I don’t like fur when it covers my clothes or creates tumbleweed with lint all over the floor. When I saw the agent going viral on TikTok, I had to give it a try.
I ordered ChomChom on Amazon and it arrived within 3 days. Then came the problem. I currently have no pets. Luckily my father and stepmother do. They’re loving parents and attention-hungry cuddly bugs to a 14-year-old Chihuahua named Lucky, who sheds a haystack of orange and gray pin-haired puppies after every scratching session.

Lucky sheds a surprising amount of hair for a small creature.

The ChomChom is a reusable lint brush that grabs fur without the messy rolls of sticky tape that traditional brushes do. This handheld tool is designed to glide over hair-covered surfaces like a mini vacuum cleaner, trapping loose hairs in an easy-to-clean receptacle.
According to the manufacturer, ChomChom “acts like a talisman on furniture, upholstery, and anything filled with fur.”
ChomChom Pet Hair Remover Reviews
I found Lucky curled up in bed. He wasn’t at all thrilled to get up from his nap, but I promised to make it worth it. Being a spoiled little dog is a tough life. I put him on my lap and started grade A petting.
After about 5-10 minutes of scratching, I put Lucky back in bed and my knee looked like this:

Furry knees after stroking Lucky.
Hearst Newspaper Bimini Wrightwe are all here In the past, I’ve tried different tricks to remove pet hair from clothes. They’re never sticky enough and I’m constantly scrubbing to find an edge that I can peel off to reveal a new layer underneath. I think it’s good.
But on this day, I had Chom Chom.
For better comparison, I chose to use it on only one side of the body.

Before (left) and after (right) using ChomChom on clothing.
Hearst Newspaper Bimini WrightEveryone. I was instantly impressed. This works! Look at the difference between left and right!! It took me about 15 seconds to accomplish that! And it was so satisfying!
I was addicted. I needed more.
My next-door neighbor has a 7-month-old Springer Spaniel with long, fluffy hair down like tufts of white cotton candy. With their permission, I asked if I could move Chom Chom on the bed in the guest room.
To the naked eye, the bed looked clean enough, as you can see in the pictures. However, only in ChomChom he rubbed quickly for five seconds before Lint opened her chamber to reveal a previously unseen mass of collected hair.

A few swipes of Chom Chom revealed hidden pet hair all over the bed.
Hearst Newspaper Bimini WrightI give this product a big thumbs up and then put 4 paws up to match it.
Are there any drawbacks to the ChomChom pet epilator?
ChomChom Pet Hair Remover is a revolutionary tool, but there are a few things to keep in mind while using it.
1. Technique matters. On the underside of the ChomChom, a red material resembling velvet catches hair, and a rubber blade pushes it into the chamber. For the roller to work, it must be rubbed back and forth, up and down. It’s not a squeegee — you can’t pull the Chom Chom toward you indefinitely in a long, drawn motion. As you pull forward, you’ll hear the rubber blade click into the chamber. That is, push in the opposite direction until the blade clicks again. Motion is important to harness static electricity to attract pet hair and create an electrical charge, according to the manufacturer.
2.I’m a little noisy. Effective use of the Chom Chom causes the rubber blades to click back and forth. But it’s definitely quieter than a vacuum cleaner, so I think a little noise is a small price to pay for the effect.
3. The release button that opens the hair chamber is in the most comfortable position to hold your thumb. This can lead to accidental opening of the chamber when using the ChomChom and can be a bit annoying until you get used to it. Again, considering how well it works and the price, it’s not a deal breaker for me.
Is ChomChom Pet Hair Remover Worth It?
This device is 100% reusable, no sticky glue or paper required. It does not require batteries or power, and is easy to empty and clean. The fur chamber fills up quickly, so you might end up emptying it more than you need to, but it shows it’s working.
So if you want to deal with the constant snowfall that is your fur baby’s outer layer and keep your home and clothes clean and allergen-free (or if you’re a crafty DIY type who wants to make finger puppets). Knit a sweater from a ball of fur, or perhaps your dog’s hair) ChomChom is perfect for you.
