Some things always surprise me (read: love island) But one problem that wasn’t on my 2023 bingo card was that Jennifer Lopez cut a fringe (aka hair) in her long hair. Then it’s clearly not me.
J-Lo took to her Instagram feed to debut her new look with a three-part carousel post. And, predictably, within 24 hours, her 233 million followers were swarming with likes and comments, snapping photos like bees flying pollen. As one fan said, summing up all our thoughts in one comment of hers.

Lily Collins’ trademark cut, Jennifer’s new piecemeal fringe, isn’t as complete or blocky as it sounds, but it certainly raises eyebrows. They seem pristine as the body is still very much given a ‘ghost layer’. Body, volume and slightly face-framing strands are the main features of this style.
Now that all this has been said, grab your scissors and head to the bathroom (please – no) before you book a cut like Jen or worse. It’s worth speculating that this could be a wig or a style created with a very clever hair illusion. It may have been taken a long time ago.
Alas, fake or not, it’s certainly a stunning look and one to take as an inspirational photo to your next hair salon appointment!
