A few weeks ago, Kim Kardashian went viral after revealing what her natural hair looked like.
In some contexts, Kim famously rocks extensions and wigs, but she’s also been known to dye her real hair on occasion.
For example, back in May, she went from brunette to platinum blonde in just one day for the Met Gala.
Her hairstylist, Chris Appleton, had a major makeover for 14 hours in a row. He admitted that he was very nervous, given that the process usually requires several sessions.
And when close-up photos of Kim’s hair at the Met surfaced online, it became clear that the hasty process had taken a toll. There were also spots with spots.
Some people labeled Kim’s hair a “failure” after seeing Met photos, choosing to rush the risky process of dyeing it platinum blonde rather than simply wearing a wig. I questioned the reason.
Now, Kim’s hair is making headlines again online after revealing exactly what her natural locks look like today.
The footage stunned several Internet users, many of whom compared Kim’s long, thick extensions and wig to her natural hair. It began to be called “fried”.
“That Marilyn dyeing job had her hair gagged. You could tell it was a bad job from the start,” added the third.

However, many users have since jumped to Kim’s defense, reminding others that she is “still human” and doesn’t deserve to have her real hair dragged.
“This is really sad,” one person wrote on Instagram. “Imagine Kim reading all this nonsense. She’s still human.”
“She looks like a normal person with normal hair, damaged by bleach,” said another.
It’s like she’s just a normal person with normal hair and damaged by bleach 😳 https://t.co/wuFdGUH9Ym

“Everybody has split ends, dead hair, bleached and unhealthy—it’s normal,” repeated a third user.
Before long, fans began debating how people idolize celebrities and maintain unattainable standards. One user noted that Kim is criticized for looking “too fake” or “too real.”
Everyone complains that she looks too fake, but do you complain that she looks real??? https://t.co/erHMHNViv9

“People are really losing it for Kim K showing off his natural hair (i.e. no extensions). The number of people who adore and want hair like theirs is insane,” one person wrote.
“People are comparing it to when people come for her and tear her hair out with extensions on. Why?!” they added.
People legally come after her and compare her hair to when she wears extensions and rips them out. why? !

Another user responded to the criticism by noting that Kim’s hair was bleached, straightened, heated and curled.
