In response to the Kenya-based politician’s negative comments about the rock people, Twitter users have shown to contain the hate!
George Peter Karma Trash Rocks & Stand 10 Toe Down
The conversation began after George Peter Karma, a member of the Kenyan parliament, shared a notice he sent to students at Kenya Methodist University earlier this year.
Specifically, the letter sent by the dean of student affairs was intended to “encourage all students to adopt a style of dress and appearance that is acceptable in various fields of work and society in general.”
The first theme tackled was ‘rasta/dreadlocks’ and the dean encouraged the students to ‘wear properly groomed hair’.
Kaluma apparently agreed, tweeting the notice, adding, “This should be enforced by all universities and learning institutions.”
Of his rationale, Karma declared that the institution “trains leaders in various fields, not prostitutes!”

After the tweet started gaining traction, one user called it “very petty.” He also asked, “What’s wrong with dreadlocks?”
Karma then dug himself into an even deeper hole, writing, “Imagine doctors, lawyers and engineers with dreadlocks.”
Imagine a doctor, lawyer or engineer with dreadlocks 🏃🏃

Kaluza’s second tweet was especially well received, starting a trend of showing off his loc when talking about his professional accomplishments.

A respected legislator should be able to analyze and contribute content on moral issues instead of profiling people based on backward opinions. There is absolutely nothing wrong with dreadlocks. What if we start profiling you in the many child support cases you have in court?

One started drawing locs on Karma’s photo. In turn, Karma replied: Dreads deprive men of vitality and make them look feminine! ”

Karma appears to be standing firm, but his emotions have definitely been drowned out by pride, love and support.
Proudly rock their place and don’t let anyone tell you your crown is unprofessional!
