Nothing is more important than good hair every time! It doesn’t make sense, but there’s always an unspoken notion, especially for girls, that everything will be fine on a good hair day.
A group of students from CMS College in Kottayam talk to Onmanorama about their hair, their favorite trends and the ‘weird’ thoughts they’ve heard about it.
Shimily Mathew, a third-year Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Tax) student, explained that hair is the best accessory for a person, regardless of gender. “I went to a school that was very restrictive on my appearance, but CMS changed everything and gave me the best place to try out new trends and looks,” she said.
“The teachers love our style and we’ve all been talking about it for a long time,” Simiri quipped. “Thanks to YouTube and other social media platforms, I have learned the tricks to maintain my natural curls and style ideas that work for my hair without causing too much damage to my hair.” she said.
Maria Susan Roy, a graduate of Communication English, says, “Having nice hair and trying new styles gives me a fresh view of myself and a boost of confidence.” increase. All she wanted was a ‘new me’ one for her birthday, and the hair salon gave it to her. No. This is our second home and it gave us a chance to be ourselves,” she said.
“Textured hair is my favorite hair trend,” Maria revealed.
Axa Maria Roby of the Vocational Department (Travel, Tourism and Logistics Management) opined that a good haircut or style can change one’s entire appearance. It’s about having a fresh yet good feeling. One of my favorite hair trends is short hair with fringes.I love the idea of dyeing the ends and the inside of the hair,” she said. .
Aksa also remembered how she came to take care of her hair. “My grandmother called hair a sacred and important feature of a woman. “It took me a while to realize it was all a matter of my perspective and comfort. I’m a little skeptical about cutting fringes , I will someday,” Aksa said with a laugh.
Another Communicative English student, Nidhi S Nair, says she is inspired and fascinated by new hair trends on various social media platforms. Like other students, Nidhi emphasized that her CMS is a safe and non-judgmental place for students.
“I’ve heard a lot of notions about hair, but it’s a personal choice and people should respect the boundaries of others. Speaking of hair trends she’d like to try, Nidhi rocked a wolf cut.” I showed him a photo of a model.
