Bollywood celebrities are known for wearing many hats on and off camera and being a beauty entrepreneur is definitely one of them. That said, aside from our favorite celebrities making inroads into the beauty realm, Indian couturier Manish Malhotra was one of the first Indian designers to pick up the pie. After more than 30 years of tailoring excellence, he decided to make the leap into the beauty space in 2018 by experimenting with skincare and makeup at MyGlamm. Who knew that the designer who changed the face of film fashion and threw a swanky dinner party in B-town also had a knack for beauty?

What is the inspiration behind this Face Range collection?
For the Long Stay Luxury Face Makeup series, we wanted to combine the best of skincare and makeup to create a range of products that help you create the perfect look while nourishing your skin. We believe makeup is an extension of your personality and helps you bring out your inner star. This was the main inspiration behind the collection. It’s about introducing a range that allows people to shine and feel confident about who they are.
How are you enjoying your journey from couturier to beauty entrepreneur?
So I’m still a couturier, and I’ve only broadened my horizons. This trip was very exciting. As a designer, I always love to explore new dimensions in my existing scope of work.As fashion and beauty are his two industries beautifully intertwined, building my own beauty brand was It was very satisfying. Manish Malhotra Luxury Makeup, exclusive to MyGlamm, has been on the market for four years and we’re humbled that it’s still loved.
What are the reasons behind this shift to the beauty genre?
Beauty is a space of creativity, self-expression and freedom.My foray into this genre was to make sophisticated beauty more accessible and create a range of luxurious products that people enjoy using. What is included in Manish Malhotra’s daily skincare routine?
I like to keep skincare simple. I use amla moisturizer and rose lip moisturizer to keep my skin hydrated and apply sunscreen daily.
What’s your current favorite beauty trend?
For me, the main trend is to embrace who you are. and of course The fusion of makeup and skincare as a beauty trend is great. That’s why we built the new Face Range.
