After I finished styling my hair with Mermaid, I added a touch of Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray for a hold and finished with a quick swipe of Barb Dry Oil Mist to soften and tame flyaways a bit. The overall finish is definitely a subtle wave, so if you’re looking for big, bouncy curls or very defined ringlets, the Mermaid isn’t the tool for you. It’s also something I probably wouldn’t take on a trip, but for home use, it will definitely be one of the first things I reach for. (A full range of mermaid styling and hair care products is currently in the works.) (For reference, my T3 is $180 and my GHD is $200. I won’t comment on how expensive Dyson’s tools are at this point.) All of this For that reason, I am very impressed with Mermade and personally already happy with it. We look forward to inspiring hair envy on iPhone screens everywhere.
