Mizanis a professional hair care brand focused on textured hair. L’Oreal Grouplaunched the Salon Experts Program yesterday at an event held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos.
Attended by more than 100 salon owners, the program also provided an opportunity to showcase Mizani in Nigeria and L’Oréal’s new distribution partner, Inter-African Marketing Ltd (IAM).
The Salon Expert Program is a loyalty program that allows salons to become part of a group of elite salons that work with brands to provide a higher standard of service in relaxers, treatments, hair care and styling. The program, which provides more exposure to customers, is based on three growth driver pillars: education, in-salon support and consumer marketing.
A welcome address from the Managing Director of Distribution Partners (IAM). Kenny RakuwaniHe introduced the Inter-African Marketing team that handles the L’Oréal Professional and Mizani businesses in Nigeria. This was followed by an overview of Global L’Oreal Professional Hair Care by Deputy General Manager of L’Oréal Professional Products Division for Africa and Middle East. Alessandro Gullo.
He noted the growth of professional hair care in the region and identified opportunities for growth in the professional hair care business.
Kenneth Orimimi. He guided the audience through the steps and products needed to achieve each look while the models roamed the crowd for real-time feedback.
Brand Manager Mizani and L’Oreal Professionnel Nigeria, Gladys Nuwachukgave a presentation on the Salon Expert Program. She expressed the need for salons to invest in consumer-side professional hair care and how L’Oréal as a brand can help professional salons increase their confidence and run their businesses more efficiently and profitably. We’ve explained how it works. The Salon Expert Program relies heavily on salon education and business support from the Mizani team. All in all, it aims to enable these salon owners to provide their customers with a better hair care experience.
Closing remarks were made by the Business Unit Managers of Inter-African Marketing LTD. Vishal Kirpalani He thanked the audience for their time, entertained them with relevant questions, and invited everyone to lunch and network. The occasion was attended by a very experienced salon owner and his salon, a popular hair care in Lagos.
