
JONESBORO, Arkansas – A horrifying situation was reported to the Jonesboro Police Department on Friday night, and it began with a phone being fired.
Police responded to Block 600 of Chestnut Street after 11:00 pm on January 14th.
Authorities met with the 37-year-old victim who lived at the address. The suspect “pulled out the victim’s hair and attempted to shoot,” reports said. The woman, a self-employed beautician, suffered minor injuries including abrasions around her neck and bruises and scratches around her right eye.
The suspect was only a man and was the ex-boyfriend of the victim. All information identifying the suspect was withheld.
A small gray SUV that the suspect was driving was called.
The suspect faces felony charges, including aggravated assault, first-degree terrorist threat, and third-degree domestic violence.
