Zoom has just started updating new cartoon avatars. This will allow users to present themselves as cartoon characters in video conferencing. This feature is very interesting for users and includes movements and even facial expressions, much like Apple’s Memoji or humanoid cartoons. The main purpose behind this Avatar Drive is to bring some gaiety to less formal meetings.
Zoom’s animal avatars were released earlier this year, and now human avatars are part of the app as well. It is suggested that this efficiency feature can be used when you don’t want to show yourself and use a static profile, such as while eating.
Also available for beta testers. However, it requires a paid account. Innovation doesn’t stop there. Zoom will bring a vast array of options for facial features, hairstyles, and customizations into the future as the beta progresses.
Templates are also launched by zoom as an alternative for various types of meetings. Three out-of-the-box templates are provided and people can choose from them or create a template of their choice.
These three out-of-the-box templates include: Large meetings (automatic captions and automatically recorded content), second seminars (disabled screen sharing and stricter crowd control settings), and last but not least K-12 (mindfulness). enabled polls and quizzes while limiting the ability to disseminate).
Threaded messages and reactions for ongoing meetings will also be available in the coming months. Similar expressions can be found in Slack, Facebook Messenger, or iMessages.
There is also a Q/A option for members so organizers can keep the meeting more organized and limit questions to one area of the app. You can decide whether to display all questions to members or questions that have been answered. Hosts need a premium plan to use this feature.
